We are lucky to be able to source good quality pork from a local farm within 6 miles. The farm specialises in breeding and rearing traditional pigs outdoors in welfare-friendly conditions, where they have plenty of space in which to roam, root and wallow. All our pork is from gilts and has a good layer of fat without it being excessive so that the meat is always flavoursome and you get good crackling – always the best bit. This results in pork which is succulent, full of flavour and with crackling from the days of old.
Your order is prepared here at The Country Victualler by our skilled butchers and delivered to your door fresh, so you can choose between freezing or consuming within a few days.
